The government has increased the heating grants from £2,700 to £3,500 for gas central heating system and £4,000 to £6,000 for oil, low carbon or renewable technologies central heating system under the WARM FRONT SCHEME

The Warm Front Team will carry out the insulation works in your home/property to make your property more energy efficient and save your gas and electricity bills and save the environment.

When the warm front installer carries out the technical survey, he/she will submit the report to the warm front team. If the accessor identifies that your property needs any extra insulation or new insulation improvement, then you will be informed about the grant by the installer.

Under the Warm Front Grant, you may receive one or more of below stated insulation improvements.

Loft Insulation


  • Up to 20% of all heat lost is an average home escapes through the loft space, so loft insulation will reduce the amount of heat escaping and keep your warmer in your home
  • It will keep your home warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer
  • It will reduce ceiling condensation and mould growth in the rooms below
  • By reducing the amount of energy needed to keep your home warm you will reduce your energy bills

    Draughtproofing


  • Draughtproofing will reduce the amount of heat escaping from your windows and doors. This will help to keep the heat inside your home
    •

    Cavity-wall Insulation


  • You could save up to 33% the heat that is usually lost through walls in you home which are not insulated
    •

    Hot-water-tank Jacket


  • This will prevent heat from escaping from your hot-water tank and keep your water hot for longer
